Workshops + Special Events

Join us for a morning of quiet contemplation as we enter Fall and turn toward the boundless practice of compassion.

Compassion steadies and protects the heart. When we truly rest in compassion, we discover a refuge — a soft yet resilient presence that neither turns away from suffering nor is overwhelmed by it. In this resting, we cultivate the courage to meet life with openness, patience, and care.

With mindfulness and intention, we can learn to respond rather than react, to extend protection rather than harm — to ourselves and others — and to trust the innate goodness that compassion reveals in our heart-mind.

Together, we will enjoy yoga, yoga nidra, guided meditation, journalling and the power of silence and community to hold and heal.

“Compassion is characterized by easing suffering. Its function is not to take on another’s pain, but to prevent cruelty. It shows itself as kindness. Its immediate cause is seeing beings who are helpless and caught in suffering. It succeeds when it quiets cruelty, and it fails when it turns into sorrow.” — Visuddhimagga IX.92

The movement (yoga) portion is suitable for all abilities. Beginners are very welcome.
